I have comprehensive experience as a lead teacher for Key Stages 1 & 2 at an academy that provided children with supplementary education. I use a variety of original and interactive activities to aid learning. I adapt my methods to each child's taste and way of learning. I truly believe that positive reinforcement and realistic and collaborative goal setting are the keys to success. Previously in Québec, I have experience teaching in a primary school Reception and Year 5 children. In addition to my teaching, I have more than 5 years experience as a nanny, making me extremely comfortable caring for children. I am currently studying psychology as part of my degree, after my first certificate in Social Sciences, which included two internships in elementary schools. Also, after I graduated from high school, I studied for 3 years for a college diploma in the humanities, specialising in education. French is my mother tongue and I have completed all my years at school and university in the language.
