In the past I have worked as a volunteer teaching assistant in a primary school for a year 3 class. I have done individual tutor work with a 6 year old, an 8 year old, and a 16 year old (primarily for GCSE exam preparation). I am also in the process of training to become a volunteer tutor for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in London with Action Tutoring and will begin once by DBS is completed. I am most confident in tutoring English as that is my current study but have previously tutored pupils in mathematics and science as I did Biology and Maths at A Level. I provide an environment for students to understand their work and become engaged, I understand that it may take longer for people to grasp some topics or subjects which is completely normal. I am very familiar with revision, homework and exam technique. I understand that each pupil has different learning styles and abilities and can easily adapt to support them as effectively as possible.
