I am in my last years of the Occupational Therapy course in Brazil and I am looking for a period of 6/12 months from February 2020 to perform home and / or business internship activities for children with special needs in UK. I have experience with young people with cerebral palsy and teenagers with down syndrome. I also have internship experience with children aged 6 to 7 years diagnosed with autism, and babies with developmental delay. I speak fluent Portuguese, Spanish and intermediate English and the basics of French and German. I have experiences and would like to practice with UK children and adults cognitive and physical stimulation, adaptations to practice in daily and instrumental activities, alternative communication boards to facilitate social interactions and assist in wheelchair transfers with techniques that stimulate the autonomy and independence of these individuals in daily life!
