I currently work as a Personal Assistant for children with disabilities
This is now my full time job. I work here as a PA respite carer, I have 5 clients all with different disabilities and age ranges. With this I do everyday care, schooling and also take them on day trips out. Due to me owning my own home, they also come and stay at mine to further their independence and social skills. Other key attributes to this job include medication, keeping them in a daily routine that they have adapted to and help them with school/college work. I have learnt and gained a lot from this job already, including First Aid and safeguarding and I feel it has allowed me to further my independence and also my communication skills with a range of different people. I always have to be happy and have the enthusiasm to make sure that the clients I look after are also happy. I think this job has helped me with my future as it is a massive experience curve and I have learnt an array of different skills.
