My experience with special needs begun in 2011 when I was volunteer in a summer camp promoted by a cerebral palsy association, where some children had special needs (such as cerebral palsy). Next, in the same year I went to university starting my degree in Occupational Therapy.
Between 2011 and 2015 I had several placements with children, teens, adults and older adults.
Afterwards, I worked for 17 months in an institution for people with disabilities.
So, my experience with children is: autism spectrum disorder, dyspraxia, sensory integration disorders, fine motor and praxis difficulties, global development delay, Fragile X, cognitive disabilities, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy (Duchenne).
With adults and elderly my experience is with cognitive disabilities, down syndrome, dementia and long-term conditions (such as strokes, head injuries and spinal cord injuries).
I have been in London for almost 3 years and have done some work looking after children with special needs and working as a qualified OT in acute and community settings with adults and older adults.
I am very responsible, patient and organised and I always try my best to be successful.
I am available during the week after 430pm or one day on weekends.
