I am currently working as a support worker for vulnerable and disabled adults. I have been doing this in a professional job for 6 months, however, I have been involved in the rehabilitation and care of my father who suffered a stroke 6 years ago. I am able to help with all sorts of care including shopping, meal preparation, medication assist, personal care and I have manual handling training including the use of frames/hoists. Prior to this I worked in childcare and then respite foster care for children with disabilities and/or additional needs for approximately 10 years. I am NVQ 3 qualified and have use of my own car. I have 2 children of my own, 2 boys who are 12 and 16. I am looking for a little extra, either regularly or on an adhoc basis. I look forward to hearing from you!
