I have over 30 years experience looking after children. My first role was as childminder for my elder sister, looking after her 4 children when she returned to work. These children are now all in their 30s! I have cared for my own children, two sons, who are now aged 23 and 29 years. I am a Great Auntie to 9 adorable children from aged 1 year to 13 years. I look after my great nephews and nieces regularly and therefore have hands on recent younger child care experience. I am passionate about children, I love spending time caring for and playing with them, helping them develop and I take great care to ensure they are safe, happy and motivated. I am also very happy if there are pets around as I am also a dog and cat lover! I am 59 years of age and, having been made redundant from my director role with a charitable organisation a couple of years ago, I took early retirement. I therefore now have the opportunity and flexibility to do something I love and to offer my services as a nanny, helping young families cope with their busy lives - something I know only too well is a difficult task! I am very happy to provide references on request, and to go through any additional checks (eg. DBS/PVG), etc. As required.
