Highly experienced, educated and trustworthy nanny/babysitter
Hi there, I am from the US, but hold a UK spouse visa, so I have the right the right to work here. I was a live-in nanny in New York taking care of a now 3.5 and 5.5-year-old for the last 1.5 years, and I was a summer nanny in between university terms. I was also an after-school sitter for a 5 and 7-year-old in London. Most of my experience is with 1.5 to 7.5-year-olds, but I also have experience with newborns and older school-aged children.
I was a preschool teacher's assistant, tutor, and religious ed teacher. I look for opportunities to create educational moments and engage with the children in a positive way, as well as encourage age-appropriate activities.
I used to be a CPR/First Aid instructor (a certification with no expiry date), I was trained as an Emergency Medical Technician, and I also had to perform the Heimlich and fix a dislocated elbow on children, so I am confident that I could handle any kind of emergency situation.
I was a Peace Corps Volunteer and have a Masters in public health nutrition, so I prioritise healthy eating for the children in my care.
I love to sing and make up songs for kids. I used to do theatre, so I know how to entertain them!
I would be available to start from mid-January. I am interested in a live-out, part-time role Mon-Fri. I would be more than happy to email you my updated CV with references. An enhanced DBS will be run for the UK after mid-Jan.
