Essentially I am offering babysitting as I do not have any childcare qualifications, and I am only looking for part time work. Hi families, my name is Sam, I'm 26 and I am currently living between Harrogate and Moortown. I am looking for babysitting work around these 2 areas to help fund me while I train to teach English as a foreign language online. I can be available at flexible times and at short notice. I recently got back from a year in Australia where I had a short term nanny placement looking after a 1 and 5 year old. Prior to that I have done temporary nannying with an agency of Harrogate, worked in a nursery for several months and worked at a primary and secondary school full time before going away. I have a degree in primary education (early years) and have worked 24/7 in a boarding school caring for children aged 4-11. I am flexible with working hours. I have experience caring for children from babysitting for neighbours and other local children. They have since grown to an age where they no longer need my care but I have continued to work with children through a project run by Leeds Methodist churches that provides disadvantaged children from the local area with residential weeks for a holiday that they would not otherwise receive. I had to be available 24/7 for the children and assist them on day trips and activities. I really enjoy working with people and have volunteered at two a respite centres, each for a week, which provide disabled adults and their careers with breaks. I am also registered with the a charity who help the unable or elderly to care for their pets and used to regularly walk a clients dog. For summer 2014, I have applied to a summer camp in the hope of working with children on camps for the entire summer.

I am passionate about caring for children. I have worked as a nursery nurse and looked after 3-12 month old babies and 1-2 year old children. I also cared for the older children in other rooms but that was only if they were short staffed. My duties in the baby room include changing nappies, creaming, feeding, getting the children to sleep and making sure they were always happy. In the 1-2 year old room, the children are obviously a bit more advanced so we did regular activities everyday such as playing with the sand, baking buns and cakes, arts and crafts and creating pictures and wall displays. I love looking after children and have done this since I was a young girl. I am very reliable and hard working.
