Support Needs (Afternoon): • He will choose to either (1) work on his laptop or (2) Go out with the carers (i.e. to a coffee shop, park, etc) or (3) meet with friends in the community. • Check his outdoor bag daily to ensure everything he needs to go out in the community is in the bag. • Support with lunch around 2pm (his wife will prepare his meals. • He might choose to go to bed for a rest (for approximately 2 hours). • Support with getting out of bed if he has a rest in bed. Support Needs (Evening): • Support with getting into bed. • NHS District Nurses do attend his property to support him with opening his bowels daily. Carers will need to assist the nurses with turning him in bed. • Support with Dinner at around 8pm (his wife will prepare the meal). • Empty Urine bag. Risks: • He has a limited range of movement so carers need to be gentle when moving and handling. Moving and handling: • Transfers to be done using a hoist and support from his wife initially. Later when the carers take over, all transfers to be done by two carers. The pay rate is £10p/h p.s NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE Only apply if you agree with the terms stated.
