Master’s student with experience tutoring biology undergraduates.
|
I am a graduate student in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of Ottawa finishing my Master of Science, Biology. I taught undergraduate students in a variety of different environment and in different fields of biology as a teacher's assistant for two years. I also tutored an university student for a two-month period. During my undergraduate degree, I took and passed many chemistry, physics and mathematics courses with high grades (A's and above). As a high school graduate from Colonel By secondary school, I am familiar with the Ontario high school curriculum and I am comfortable teaching in biology, chemistry, mathematics, history and physics. As extracurriculars activities, I was the President of the University lifesaving club and taught Standard First Aid courses. I was also a head instructor for SwimAbility Ottawa, a volunteer organization dedicated to teaching children with special needs how to swim. These experiences gave me a solid background in teaching, good work ethic, great autonomy, integrity, attention to detail, excellent time management and professionalism. In addition, I am proficient in French but more comfortable tutoring in English. I can provide a reference upon request.
