My passion is teaching and learning; I believe a good teacher is patient and open to listening. My friends describe me as kind, an outside-the-box thinker and adventurous. I believe kids make more sense than adults do; understanding them and making them feel validated is my value that I always strive to keep. My experience with kids is mainly through babysitting; I worked at a daycare for my high school volunteer. My tutoring experience comes from my little brother, who I've been tutoring Math, French and English for two years now. It's a pleasure to meet you, and I hope we get along!

| I am a graduate student in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at the University of Ottawa finishing my Master of Science, Biology. I taught undergraduate students in a variety of different environment and in different fields of biology as a teacher's assistant for two years. I also tutored an university student for a two-month period. During my undergraduate degree, I took and passed many chemistry, physics and mathematics courses with high grades (A's and above). As a high school graduate from Colonel By secondary school, I am familiar with the Ontario high school curriculum and I am comfortable teaching in biology, chemistry, mathematics, history and physics. As extracurriculars activities, I was the President of the University lifesaving club and taught Standard First Aid courses. I was also a head instructor for SwimAbility Ottawa, a volunteer organization dedicated to teaching children with special needs how to swim. | Hi! My name is Emebet and I am currently a 2nd year University student in Honours Women's Studies and Sociology. Experience wise, I have been doing volunteer tutoring with Frontier College since 2015 and wish to explore more opportunities to develop as a tutor. With Frontier, I help kids/teens with their school work, in any subject and help them develop their writing and communication skills. I am also currently a 4th grade french Tutor. I am willing to travel to student's homes, libraries, or schools to conduct tutoring sessions and review class material by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.
