My name is Sarah and I’m a poet, writer, private tutor, and recent graduate of Pitzer College, a small liberal arts university in Southern California, with a degree in English literature. I would love to work with you!
I’ve worked in many non-traditional classrooms:
• Tutoring elementary and middle school students in reading, writing, and math in high-risk, low-income areas with The Leading Edge Learning Center
• Teaching intersectional feminist poetry at Prototypes Rehabilitation Center
• Leading women’s poetry groups for single mothers and nuero-diverse children at The Center for Expressive Writing
I also currently work as a private tutor, working with high school and college students on essay writing skills and as a private language instructor, teaching English to native Spanish speakers.
