I have always enjoyed interacting with children and regardless of whether I was travelling or pursuing a degree, I always found a way to work with children. I've worked as a camp counsellor at a sleep away camp and addressed issues, such as bullying and homeloneliness. Throughout university, I was both a swimming and ice hockey coach for children aged 5-12. As an athletic therapist, with a certification in Sports First Responder and CPR, I was involved in the immediate injury response (assessment and treatment) of athletes for various youth sports teams. Most recently as a meditation guide, I designed and ran a meditation camp with children (8-14 years) in Australia. It is really amazing to see how open-minded children are and I would love the opportunity to help nurture children in a more casual environment as a babysitter.
