Daytime support for senior in her home (Scarborough)
I am a looking for a reliable and compassionate caregiver or PSW to support an elderly woman in her own home from 8am to 8:30pm. She’s mobile and independent and directs her own care and the management of her household. She has dialysis three times per week and may require assistance with transport or the caregiver’s transportation (I will cover mileage). She will also require assistance to medical appointments (transport provided or using caregivers transport).
Other duties include supporting activities for daily living such as light meal preparation, bathing and dressing support, light housekeeping and laundry, and overall support for daily and weekly schedule. She doesn’t need constant help so there is lots of downtime for the caregiver during the days and evenings.
Qualifications:
Fully vaccinated (2 doses plus booster)
PSW certificate (an asset)
Experience with the elderly (minimum 5 years)
Experience with dialysis patients (an asset)
Police check / Vulnerable sector screen
CPR/First Aid
Willing to wear a high quality mask during shift
2 work references
I visit several times each week and bring prepared meals, groceries and household supplies.
Looking for someone who is understanding and compassionate and truly loves caring for the elderly.
This caregiver role will be an employee and will be paid through our payroll. The salary paid to the caregiver will be reported to the federal government (CRA) and CPP, EI and federal and provincial taxes will be deducted from each pay.
