I have provided childcare services for the past 12 years in my licensed home daycare. I have many years of being a babysitter or nanny before I started a home daycare. I became a licensed home daycare with the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) as of July 2013. I have three children, ages 10, 9, and 3 1/2. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided. Our daily activities include educational learning strategies, arts and crafts, music and exercise, and games. Allowing children to be themselves and feel loved and cared for in my daycare is a priority, along with teaching them the importance of respect and using good manners. I also have a fenced-in back yard with plenty of space for fun outdoor adventures. One fun feature that I have included with my Hakuna Matata Daycare, is that I try to often pull out my camera and take pictures of the crafts and exercises we do during the day! You will enjoy seeing your child participating in daily activities and I think it is fun for the kids to look at the pictures with their parents and share their favorite part of the day with them. The hours I am available are 7a.m.-5p.m. on weekdays, however other arrangements can be made via contract. References are available upon request. I wish you the best of luck in finding the perfect childcare provider for your family, and I would appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself to you!

A Home Away From Home Preschool & Daycare

224 Holly Ln. Elk Grove Village, IL

< 1 mi

"A Home Away From Home" is a home-based daycare and preschool for children in the age group of newborn- 4 years. "A Home Away From Home" is different. Why? My philosophy is based on nurturing healthy brain development from birth. A child's brain undergoes an amazing period of development from birth to age three. The development of the brain is influenced by many factors, including a child's relationships, experiences and environment. These early years are a window of opportunity for positive learning experiences that will have a huge lasting effect on children's chances for achievement, success, and happiness. "A Home Away From Home" is different from other day cares because it provides lessons and experiences with intentional learning plans from a certified teacher with thirty years of teaching experience and the above philosophy. Individualized instruction and goals are established, followed, and reviewed at optional parent conferences. Further, my nurturing home setting, background in teaching young children and low numbers of children will provide more individual attention and instruction than is typical of many daycares. "A Home Away From Home" is an excellent environment for your little one to spend their precious days. Meals are home cooked including fresh veggies and fruit. I am accepting only 5 children, and will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday -Friday.
I am a stay-at-home mom of four kids, ages 17, 16, 12, and 10. I do child care in my home and have an opening for a little one. I prefer to watch only one child, but can be flexible with sibling situations. For the past two years I had a little one in my home who started at the age of four months, but is moving to a different facility for English emersion since he comes from a Polish speaking home. I would love to find the perfect fit with a little one under a year. Before I began watching this little one, I home-schooled my own kids for 11 years, and before that I did childcare in my home for two years. I absolutely love being a stay at home mom as well as helping to care for little ones. I bring the years of experience in raising my own children as well as the times I have been able to do childcare.
