For the past 25 years, I've have been working in Manufacturing. I started out as an assembler and worked my way up to as a Test Technician, which I have been for the last 13 years. I've just completed a Massachusetts certified Direct Care Worker course (Fall 2014) and I am now looking for work in this field. In the past, before my manufacturing career, I had been an orderly at a Medical-Surgical floor for 2 years and had found it rewarding to help the patients. There were many seniors who I had the opportunity to care for when I had worked there. Approaching my senior years, I want to give back something to the community and feel this is my way to do so. My strengths: I'm compassionate, analytical, organized, intuitive, an effective communicator, a team player with 15-hour chronic disease self-management training, had 12-hour certificate in Alzheimer's habitation training; developed by the Alzheimer's Association, including Effective communications Crisis avoidance and management and Realistic expectations of clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia. I also have a CPR. I have a background check and is available on request.
Recently, I have had a stroke (Dec 9th) and I am recovering very well from it. I know now what all my training was for.
