I need senior care provider with experience. My dad is an active guy in his late 70s that still drives and has a zest for life/adventure. He's not great with complex tasks like finding/planning activities, etc but enjoys adventures, sight seeing, dancing, gardening, and still walks 2 miles every day. He also still drives a car to familiar places (it can be a challenge to find new land marks) and even rides a trike (in a group of bikes with his family) We're looking for a companion to help keep him busy and enjoying life. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction; planning activities to keep him engaged. Helping him be comfortable in new situations, etc. He doesn't cook so some light meal prep now and again may be helpful.

At this point, he needs help with planning for meals.. ie on Wednesday, cooking for two meals, when he would eat one on Wednesday, and the caregiver would plate and refrigerate a meal to be microwaved on Thursday by my dad... the caregiver would need to do an inventory of my dads food, to prepare what to buy on Monday, in order to cook double meals on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Mom - can't get up and down on her own. She needs help getting around. She needs help getting in and out of her wheelchair. She likes some one to brush her hair to relax. Someone to sit with her and watch TV. She loves westerns best. Dad - pretty much does everything himself. Both wear hearing aids. I'm looking for someone to be with Mom mostly.
