About who needs care: My dad has Dementia. His long term memory is great, short term memory is not. He has high blood pressure, and takes meds 2x/day for this. He is a homebody. Prefers to sit in his recliner, sleep, look out the window at the birds and watch tv. He enjoys sleeping a lot. He does not need a lot, just to be reminded to shave, take meds and eat/drink. About the care needs: Someone who is sweet, not pushy, organized, caring and respectful. Can do house keeping, do laundry, change bed linens as needed, cook, or at least heat up frozen food. Encourage my dad to keep up his hygiene. On occasion take for haircut, or appointments. She no longer cooks for herself so they must make her food. She does feed herself. She does dress herself. They will need to walk with her so she doesn't get lost. Preference for a caregiver who is female.

Mom - can't get up and down on her own. She needs help getting around. She needs help getting in and out of her wheelchair. She likes some one to brush her hair to relax. Someone to sit with her and watch TV. She loves westerns best. Dad - pretty much does everything himself. Both wear hearing aids. I'm looking for someone to be with Mom mostly. Duties would include: Helping Mom. Getting them both lunches. Some laundry of their clothes. Light cleaning. I usually cook supper and take care of them at night.
