I need senior care provider with experience. Our care concerns are: Companionship. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. My Mom lives independently in her own home 700' from us. She had moderate dementia. Most visible symptom is impaired short term memory and overconfidence in her abilities to act independently. She performs all her ADLs w the exception of am/pm medication management, driving, and dinner (major cooking) preparation. We take care of those. Looking for someone to socially interact with her; go for walks; go to the clubhouse for classes, meetings or other activities occasionally, and give us a night off periodically. Mom is witty and very social. Her illness isn't very noticeable, unless you know her and can tell present from past, fiction from non-fiction.

About who needs care: Has managed congestive heart failure. Mild or 1st step of dementia but still living alone. Has a very old cat 18yrs . She can cook and clean but has no more interest in doing so. No hobbies any more try to encourage reading her books, mostly just watches television. About the care needs: Not sure just yet she's fiercely independent or was. Misses driving the most loved video poker when she could go. Worked for metro police for many many years and went to the church before Covid. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.

About who needs care: Father is recovering from heart procedure. Mother lives there and can cook and clean. Father has neuropathy in hands and feet but can use walker. Has swelling in legs feet from CHF. Ideal day would ensure that meds are taken, get cleaned, dressed in clean clothes, possibly walk dogs with supervision, ride exercise bike 10 min, eat lunch nap, sit on back patio, watch TV. Periodically, would need to go to Dr appointments, and would need help picking up prescriptions sometimes. About the care needs: Caring, patient, ability to care for the elderly, flexible. Intelligent with ability to carry on a conversation. May need to help with showers. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.

About who needs care: General good physical condition. Very active with church, water aerobics and several ladies' clubs. Macular degeneration has impaired her vision. Still able to shop and cook. Transportation is our biggest need. About the care needs: Mother has a type A personality. About who needs care: My father (92) is ambulatory, still drives to familiar places like the grocery stores, local casinos, doctor's appointments for himself and my mother. He is being treated for multiple myeloma and is responding well - no aches or pains. He has limited mobility in his arms and back so cannot bathe well - mother (90) helps him but she too is limited. He likes reading his morning newspaper, watching TV, and of course going to the casinos, which he has been doing daily lately. He doesn't cook as much or as well as he used to (leaves and forgets), but still enjoys grocery shopping. He is developing dementia and we're trying to get him evaluated. About the care needs: Friendly and soft-spoken. Neat and punctual. Good listener and respectful. Spanish-speaking would be a great plus. Experienced in bathing males would be necessary. And a good driving record would be essential. And if they turn out to be a good fit, my parents may want to hire them to prepare meals. Private family seeks female caregiver for an elderly man with some dementia, to join a team and share in duties of companionship; bathing, grooming, and dressing; cooking; and light housekeeping. The household adheres to a strict protocol to avoid exposure to Coronavirus; you must agree to isolate completely on the property: all groceries & supplies are delivered. Before starting work you will be asked to quarantine in a studio on the property for 2 weeks, fully paid. This is a very safe environment. Caregivers have good access to the outdoors, though only on the property. Requirements: fluent English; driver's license; willingness to stay on house grounds; ability to relocate; excellent references.

Looking for regular/consistent/reliable long-term care for my mom- Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5-7 p.m. Must LIKE cats, not merely tolerate them. Would love someone who likes to cook. We will train you on setting up peritoneal dialysis machine- it's not rocket science, but following instructions and adhering to sanitization is imperative. It typically takes 20-30 minutes. Someone familiar with blood pressure monitoring preferred. Sense of humor a plus! There's possibility for more hours too. We're near Tropicana and Sandhill. College degree NOT necessary- I've tried to remove that from the post but it won't go away.
