About who needs care: My dad has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma and will be starting chemotherapy soon. His condition is declining and he is very tired and lethargic. Hobbies and interests include playing on a bocce league in his community in the morning, and watching tv in the afternoon. He also loves cars and enjoys driving (but this interest is slowing down as he doesn't get out much at the moment.) His day begins early around 5 a.m. .. he drinks coffee and has breakfast and then about 4 days a week he drives a short distance to play bocce from 9-11. He comes home, takes a nap, and wakes up around 2 or 3 p.m. and has a small lunch. He watches tv in the afternoon and eats dinner around 7 p.m. Then he showers and goes to bed. About the care needs: My dad is quite set in his ways and doesn't have good life skills. He cannot cook or shop for himself, he does not clean or maintain his home without assistance, and he lacks some social graces. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.

About who needs care: I am an 86-year-old male, who is insulin dependent. I love to go to church on Sunday morning for 1 hour. I like listening to mass on Tv in the mornings, and listening to games on my iPad or TV. I need someone to cook meals for me as I am legally blind, do the shopping/ run errands and take me to my medical appointments. I need medication reminders and med box refills. Take my clothes out in the morning, I dress my self and assist with ADL's. About the care needs: Someone reliable, who doesn't mind going to church with me for 1 hour on Sunday's, who likes to go out at least once a month to dinner with me. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, some assistance with bathing and taking out clothes. My wife and I need someone to bake muffins and certain other items, as well as to cook certain soups, chili, and spaghetti. My wife has great recipes that we will want you to follow precisely. All recipes should be prepared in large batches - for instance, 30 servings of a specific soup, 80 muffins, etc. Then we will freeze them. Everything else about this assignment is flexible and negotiable, and recurring (indefinitely - we are in our 60's and we like the same dishes over and over again!). We just want you to be really good at baking and making soups, that's all.

I need senior care provider with experience. Dorothy, my Mother, is currently undergoing chemotherapy for small cell lung cancer. She is independent but can get winded or weak when doing daily chores like dishes or cooking.
