Full Time
Staffing in an assisted living facility:
We are there to assist multiple residents at one time. We help the residents with daily living activities. The levels of care needed will vary per client. You will provide ADLS which include the following: using the toilet, sponge bathing, and/or showering, dressing, cooking, serving food, assist with feeding them, moving from a bed to a chair (also called transferring). Not all our clients will need full ADL's. Some are flight risks (elopement) meaning they will walk out the front door and this is a safety issue. Some are fall risks and require hands on using a gait belt, assisting with walking with a walker. No matter the level of care, you are required at ALL times to be alert and oriented. All shifts are awake. We are providing hands on care with the client and interacting with them. Never take your eyes off the client. You will be assigned an area or a list of rooms/clients that you will be responsible for caring for during your shift.
**Part of the shift will require housekeeping (mopping floors, wiping kitchen areas down, cleaning wheelchairs) **
