Join us as we celebrate the art of Eric Carle! As the illustrator of fan favorites like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, Carle favors texture over value, to give his images depth, creating a visual world of colorful childlike wonder.
Focusing on texture and color, students will paint their paper before cutting out their collage. This class is sure to strengthen dexterity and introduce concepts of contrast and form.
Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class
We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year!
Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week!
Dress for a mess! Please! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!
