About
Did you know tree rings tell amazing stories? These slices of a tree provide insight about the local climate and environment over the life of the tree. You can even match up rings from multiple trees to get a long term view of the variation of the seasons, available water, local events such as fire and even tree pests. Come learn how to prep, print, and read these fascinating tree “cookies!”

For ages 6-12. Campers should be finished with Kindergarten upon registering.
What to BRING:
- Pack Lunch
- 2 Snacks
What to WEAR:
- "Art" clothes
- Appropriate footwear for the outdoors. (Daily walk to the Ohlone Greenway Park after lunch, weather permitting.)
Emphasis is on what/how we learn, less on perfect product. We attempt to meet all campers at their skill level, beginner or advanced.
