About
When Archer finds themself a captive audience for their dad’s latest masterpiece, it seems pretty familiar for a fantasy adventure screenplay at first. Wars, in the stars. Brides, of the princess variety.
This story’s got such an incredibly absurd array of heroes, villains, robots and romances, it’s total chaos. But once Archer gets pulled into the mashup tale of a princess with a secret agenda and some space wizards destined for greatness, she starts to wonder: Could this be so much chaos it’s actually...genius?
Join Stages for our 2026 Fall Play: SPACE PRINCESS WARS
Stages’s unique approach to working with middle schoolers focuses as much on the process as it does the product, allowing young performers to learn audition technique and participate in character and scene study while rehearsing a fully staged production.
Stages was created by a professional performer turned child development specialist with the primary goal of helping children develop the foundational skills and technique every performer needs while giving them the opportunity to find their voice, build confidence, and do what every budding Broadway Star loves most: PERFORM!
*STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED TO ENROLL FOR BOTH THE FALL PLAY & WINTER MUSICAL. Tuition to participate in both shows is $1350. Discount will be applied at checkout.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
--Weeks 1-2 (Sep 11 - Sep 19): I Hope I Get It!--
During the first two weeks of the semester, students will participate in a personalized audition process. Auditions at Stages are designed to be a low stress, fun experience. Middle School Musical students get the chance to do a comprehensive audition process complete with cold reads and callbacks.
Casting will be done more traditionally with 1-2 actors playing each role. EVERY CHILD WILL BE GIVEN A ROLE OR SPECIAL PART IN THE SHOW. We will work together with children to make sure they have a role. that they are excited to perform!
--Weeks 3-9 (Sep 25 - Nov 6): Putting It Together--
During Weeks 3-9, the cast will participate in weekly rehearsals. During these classes, we will focus on character development, blocking the show, and introducing various theatrical elements that will be used such as sets, props, special effects, and costumes.
--Weeks 10-11 (Nov 13 - Nov 21): Prepping for Opening Night--
During Weeks 10-11, the cast will begin running doing “Run Thrus” where they perform the show from start to finish. We’ll also start adding in transitions so performers know when and how to enter/exit the stage, when to get microphones, make a costume change, or pick up a prop from the prop table. These classes are VERY important and we ask that you do your best to ensure your child is at every class unless they are ill.
*There will be no class on November 27*
