About

Your Camper will spend half the day in Listen to your Art Camp!
Come join in this unique art and makers camp! We will use a variety of textiles and mediums to create, make and design masterpieces! We will have a glow in the dark art day, make our own “doll/creature” small houses out of boxes, acrylic drop cup canvas painting, process art self portraits out of clay and much much more!

The other portion of their day will be spent in Skateboarding Camp!

Andrew Walford has been skating for 40+ years and would love to share his experience and wealth of knowledge with our campers, he will be assisted by Kaiya Hanepen, Sea Crest Alumni and HMBHS graduate, who just returned from her 3rd trip to the Freeride Junior World Championship Tour in Europe scoring 3rd in the world for the 2nd year in a row. Kaiya, when not in the snow loves to surf and skateboard.

This camp will teach students about all of the different skateboard components, the importance of safety equipment, and how to safely skateboard in our environment.

Students will learn how to adjust and maintain their skateboards. They will learn the basics of body physics when riding boards, how to push properly, and how to do basic turns.

For the more advanced students we can begin beginner tricks and eventually more complex tricks as well. This camp will focus on skateboarding basics, like balance, safety, technique and etiquette in a fun, safe and positive environment.

Additionally the camp will encourage the kids to get out of the house, off their devices, moving, socializing, making new friends, and pushing themselves, and most importantly, get them to have fun!

***YOUR CAMPER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN SKATEBOARD, HELMET, KNEE PADS, ELBOW PADS, AND WRIST PADS DAILY TO PARTICIPATE***

At the end of the day we will have some free choice play activities for all campers attending any of the Sea Crest camps to join in on.

Every week we will have a few set themed days in between activities and in the afternoon:

Wednesday- Wacky Water Wednesday may include anything from a water slide to water balloons, a slip n slide, water squirters or our dunk tank chair depending on the week.

Thursday- Riding Free campers may bring bikes/scooters (helmets are mandatory) to camp.

Friday- Fun Friday will include either a bounce house, treasure hunt, piñata or special surprise activity to close out our week of summer fun!
