About
Children will have the opportunity to explore "real" Art media through various individual projects in addition to some collaborative pieces. They will learn how to use each material and create magic using their own personal aesthetic. Each child will feel pride in their unique work and be celebrated for the Artists that they naturally are.
Materials will include charcoal, pastel (both oil and soft), acrylic paint, canvas, watercolor, clay, and ink interspersed with plenty of open play and socializing.
They will study line, composition, the color wheel, 2-D versus 3-D representation, and multi-media work that includes collage. Do you think the youngest children at Sea Crest and beyond can embrace and enjoy these concepts? We do! They are already capable Artists. Campers can expect a different experience each week this camp runs.
Dressing in layers and wearing sunscreen is recommended. Each camper should bring a change of clothes in their backpack, a lunch, two snacks and a water bottle daily. We will send out more details a few weeks prior to camp, including Covid protocols.
