About

This is a single session per week version of the Junior Team. This class has six slots and is best for those looking for the extra challenge of the Junior Team curriculum but are unable to commit to twice a week. These six students will join the twelve members of the Junior Team and train together with Coach Austin and Jakelynn!

Playformance Parkour classes feature a non-competitive discipline of movement focused on play and creativity that teaches kids how to overcome any obstacle with a playful mindset. Our students will learn to seek out challenges that will test them physically and mentally. Through facing these challenges, they build a solid fitness foundation of strength, flexibility, balance, control, creativity, and discipline. Students play challenging games with others to help grow their social and emotional skills through playful connection. We view parkour as a team sport and teach our students to support and encourage each other through their challenges.

Parkour is a training discipline focused on how to use your challenges to grow physically, mentally, and socially. Practitioners aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment, without assistive equipment and in the fastest and most creative way possible. Parkour includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumping, rolling, quadrupedal movement (crawling) and other movements as deemed most suitable for the situation and challenge.
