Our lives would be much more difficult without the use machines that help our communities! Join us for an exciting class where we will build working models of machines like garbage trucks, snow plows, sea cleaners, flood gates, and more. Students will then use the new Lego® Robotics WeDo 2.0 built on the next generation science standards using blue tooth technology! Children will build motorized Lego® models with this sophisticated technology and also learn how their robots communicate with the environment using a variety of sensors. Children will learn programming in an intuitive way – allowing students to bring their creations to life while sharpening computational thinking skills.
IntelliBricks will provide all LEGO® and touch screen computers for the class. Children cannot take home any of their creations or LEGO® products. LEGO® group of companies does not sponsor, authorize or endorse any of our programs.
Please note: This class is available for Adventure Christian School students only! If you are not a current student at Adventure please don't enroll for this class, or your registration will be cancelled and any fee forfeited
Please set reminders about the class. We don’t issue refunds or makeups for missed classes.
Kindergarten students will be assembled near the front office and escorted to the IntelliBricks Class. School will be provided with the roster beforehand to safely assemble Grade K students.
When picking up your child please wait near the classroom door and don't walk inside the classroom until showing proper identification. Please note that our new policy requires all parents and caregivers picking up students show valid, current picture ID, so the instructor will meet you at the door. This will help us ensure safe sign-outs. Please make sure to sign out your child.
For parents who would like to view their student's creations, please come to class 10 minutes early to view, take pictures or videos and help your child dismantle and clean up their work space. Models will be dismantled at the end of the class.
If anyone other than the authorized adult is picking up your child after the class, please inform us beforehand, if you haven't done so already.
Be sure to ask your child for the take home reports! We give each student a take home report after each class. This report is a good way to reinforce the concepts learned during the class. It also provides an awesome guideline for parents to use for a great discussion about the day's activity.
