GIGIL's On Demand STEM Kits are meant to create a fun learning experience from home. Our On Demand STEM Kits are an ideal alternative to in-person summer camps. These kits are also a great addition for homeschooling families. Each lesson is taught by a California credentialed teacher using core education standards.

Humans make an impact on the earth every day. In this STEM Kit students will learn more about that impact and come up with ways to minimize the impact.

Activity #1: In what ways do humans have an impact on the earth? Write down your ideas!

Activity #2: How does the density of liquid affect our earth? Which liquids are denser than others? Let’s test them to find out!

Activity #3: Oil spills happen all too often. Let’s let our junior scientists research and design an oil spill clean up plan! What things will we need to make the biggest impact on the clean-up efforts?

Activity #4: This activity lends the opportunity for students to create their own oil spill and clean up simulation. Did your plan work? Did you clean up the oil? Do you need to make improvements to your plan?

Activity #5: Dirty water? Let’s clean it up! Students will create their own water filtration system!
