Barre + Pilates Fusion offers a full body workout with the best of both worlds!
At the Barre you'll use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Barre is a non-stop, cardio effective workout that also incorporates strength training with the use of light handheld weights, resistance bands, and other props. Incorporating Mat Pilates allows you to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, with low impact to the joints. This portion of the class class will flow through traditional exercises such as hundreds, planks, and roll ups. Modifications and options will be available for beginning through advanced levels including prenatal and postnatal modifications.
Supervised play for up to 2 children is included with your registration. Children should be able to sit up without assistance to be enrolled in supervised play. Please indicate how many children you'd like to reserve a spot for below. Supervised play reservations must be made in advance.
Please bring a mat, towel and water with you to class.
