About

Our eLive class allows students to participate in workshops, as well as interact with classmates, and ask questions of the instructor--all virtually from the comfort of their own home.

This class requires a computer with an updated web browser.

Description: This workshop will give learners an introduction to video game design and programming by making simple games using the Scratch programming platform. Students will learn to control characters through an environment based on rules of their own creation. Creating their own characters and environments, students will also design their own levels. Typical games include customized 2D arcade and side-scrolling games.

Make sure that you can navigate here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor/ From there you can sign-up for a Scratch account (if you don’t have one already), and Create! Scratch is web-based.
While it’s not necessary to have a Scratch account, we do highly recommend that you sign-up for one as it will allow you to save and work on projects in the future.
