About
Head Start to Reading is to be taken the year before kindergarten. Making books and other hands-on experiences are used to teach students 2-3 kindergarten sight words each week! Students receive word cards, sentences, and games to practice with at home. There are 10 total lessons.
Since the class is being taught via pre-recorded video lessons, parents will be responsible for making the books and completing other hands-on activities. Materials will be provided.
Videos will be posted weekly in the Google Classroom. You will need to have or open a free google email account. The week's video lesson will be posted Monday mornings and removed Sunday evening of that week. Lessons are only available for one week, just like if you were attending weekly face-to-face classes.
No refunds once you are given the link to join the Google Classroom. The Head Start to Reading program is copyrighted and licensed. Sharing or reproducing the materials is against the law!
This is a pre recorded video lesson class. No refunds once you are given the link to the Google Classroom. Registration/Service fee is non refundable. Parents are responsible for watching the video with the child, assisting with digital activities, and completing any other paper activities. Parent participation is necessary. Parents must be able to pick up materials during a designated time-frame before classes begin.
