About Melanie

My grandmother was a nanny so I learned from the best! When I was old enough, I started to work for her clients. I babysat for families I had known for years and families who were new to me and visiting from out of town. I'm adaptable to many different families and always put parents' rules and wishes for their children at the top of my list (right below safety). I have cared for newborns, taught preschoolers and grade school children in an after school drama program and currently volunteer with an organization called Write Girl that seeks to mentor at-risk girls, ages 13-18, through creative writing. It's been my favorite thing to do since moving to L. A. a year ago! I previously worked in the Palm Springs area and San Francisco. I am also available to tutor and a pretty decent cook who loves healthy food! I like park outings, reading all kinds of books, and love to engage with kids about what they're learning in school. (I'm a total nerd! Can you tell?)
