I have always enjoyed working with children. I have been working in childcare for 10+ years, mostly as a nanny but also worked I. The infant room of a daycare. I have worked for 7 families with anywhere from one to five kids. Being a nanny has been by far the most fun and rewarding job I've had. To watch a child grow and learn, and to be there to help them is such a blessing. I love crafting, cooking, reading and doing just about anything outdoors. I have a degree in baking and pastry, though I did also take some early childhood education classes while attending college.

We can't say enough about Laurel and the way she has treated our children as her own. Our 7-year-old daughter likes playing ponies with her, being creative with arts and crafts, loves the time they spend outdoors, and is excelling at school thanks to the time Laurel spends with her doing homework and making sure she knows her weekly spelling words. Laurel has also been a godsend to our 8-year-old son, who is autistic. She has learned his likes/dislikes, understands his emotions, and works very hard to engage him in activities while understanding his need for alone time. While we are very sad to see her move to Florida, we are thankful for time we have gotten to know her and the role model she has been to our children.
