About Kristin

I have been working with children since I became a certified babysitter when I was 11 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education for K-8th grade with a minor in Early Childhood (Birth-3rd). I have been a private tutor for several different children in all grades, from K through 8th grade, to improve their academics. I have experience working with children with special needs. I have taught 3 and 4-year-old preschool, as well as 4K in my past jobs. I have worked in an after school program where I supervised 18 school-aged children of varying ages at once. I am passionate about working with children because it is very rewarding to teach them and watch them learn and grow. I like to include learning experiences that happen naturally through play. I strive to teach children to be responsible for their learning and behavior. I like to teach children how to do certain things for themselves, so that they can build confidence and excitement for learning.
