About Karina

I've been working with children professionally since 2008. I have experience as a teacher, household manager, nanny, lactation educator, sleep consultant, postpartum doula, parent coach and newborn care specialist. I have worked with multiples, trans racial adoption, parents with highly demanding positions, work at home parents, children with disabilities and many other unique family situations. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and a degree in Child Development. I know the basics of (baby) Sign Language and Spanish. I'm also a huge advocate of the outdoors. I have a naturalist, child led viewpoint, and I try not to force children to do things that they aren't ready for (loosely based on the RIE philosophy). Some words I would use to describe myself would be: Fun, gentle, responsible and kind. I have been featured as a nanny in an article in a well regarded Boston newspaper, and I've been referred to as "Mary Poppins" by my employers.
