About Ellen

Hello! I am currently a kindergarten teacher in Aurora, Colorado. I am a licensed teacher and have been working with children of all ages since I was 16. I worked in daycares and preschools throughout high school and college and am currently watching 3 toddlers twice a week. Looking for some extra work to fill up my summer vacation! I offer tutoring on the weekends using my materials both from my classroom and from my training at the Institute for Multi-sensory Education. I use a visual, and kinesthetic approach to help children recognize letters and sounds, and move on to blending words and building comprehension through reading. My area of expertise is kindergarten but I would feel comfortable tutoring any k-5 student struggling with reading or writing.
