I was with this agency for two months. The first few weeks I had two Fridays no show and Monday NO show.
My LPN I has for month and half was excellent and I trusted her she id a vey good job and washed her hands often
I was NOT happy how I was treated by the RN ' director of nurse care' that was suppose to be over seeing my LPN.
But he wanted to over see me , planning my day , he was not respectful toward me nor my home surroundings and he talked down to me like I was not educated .I had to keep repeating things he would ask over and over like I did not understand I am bed Bound living with ALS but there is nothing wrong with my brain . My husband has been caring for me 24/7 sense 2002 and all I wanted was a break to give him some rest. My husband keeps our home and me very clean and dry he roles me over at least every two hours . We both my husband and I are capable to make all our health care decisions. I a very independent .
After being with them two months the RN said he had to come to our home every two week. Which was fine ever thou I have been having Attendant Care threw Medicaid long term care for over two years and never made to do this before . There was not suppose to be medical involved but due to my bi-pap use the State required I had either an LPN or RN. I did not need them checking my body for pressure sores, or listening to my lungs as I have great Doctors for that and a great husband that knows if I even have a small red circle to call my Doctor as wounds start from inside .
When my husband says NO she has no pressure sores it means none. When I say I have NO pressure sores I mean NONE . This RN instead that my body had to be accessed every two weeks which part would be checking me for pressure Sores.
I have an excellent husband caregiver ! I also have excellent Doctors that come to our home I id not need nor want this type of care from this agency .
' I WAS TOLD IF I DID NOT ALLOW THEM TO CHECK MY BODY FOR PRESSURE SORES I COULD NOT HAVE A NURSE .'
I had already had a nurse threw care minders for two months and this has not been an issue before.
I also had tried some other Health Agencies in the past two and half years and never forced to do this .
People living with ALS rarely get Pressure sores as our feeling is very strong . I have never had any . There is no reason why I should be treated like I had ' Alzheimer's and Dementia '
I was not respected and felt my rights and dignity was being ripped away from me .
I lived in a nursing Home before I met my husband and I had more rights and never went threw this even then.
I feel horrible that after having a LPN with this agency for two months that I all of sudden being forced to do things I was not comfortable .
I had my nurse 28 hours a week giving my husband much needed rest and Care Minders will no longer let me have my nurse. This is so wrong what happen to me and how I was treated.

The CareMinders scheduling, RN, and services staff always keeps in close communication with me. I always know how mom is doing and what they did with her each visit. I appreciate their flexibility when I need to make a schedule change. I really don't know what I would do without their help these days.
