Part-Time Caregiver - PCA Certified
I am available for personal care, pet care, housekeeping and some side jobs. :)
From 2010 to 2012, the federal government awarded six states a total of $4.2 million to develop competency-based training and credentialing systems for Personal Care Aides, with the intent that those new systems will serve as models in creating federal training standards for independent PCAs. Last time this happened, the CNA program was the result of the new system. I have completed the 100-hour federal course in the state of Michigan.
Caring for people runs in my family. My mother has been an LPN actively taking care of senior participants since before I was born. I had been preparing to enter the health-care field since I could walk. I'm responsible, experienced, intelligent, trustworthy, punctual, professional, and confident! I think my ability to listen is an important strength. I am comfortable with and have had training and experience to assist with ADLs and IADLs - personal needs like hygiene, ambulation, feeding, medical equipment care, cooking, and housekeeping, etc. I did all of these things and more when I worked for Innovations Senior Services in Ann Arbor, MI. I am also currently employed as an independent PCA by one special lady who is available as an immediate personal reference.
