About who needs care: My mom had a traumatic brain surgery late Feb and suffered a stroke. She is currently in acute rehab and will bedischarged on Apr 23rd. We are looking for a female and preferably mandarin-speaking caregiver to help with her daily activities and for companionship. My mom is 5ft6in and 120lbs. She is able to move but needs supervision and assistance because she's a lot weaker on her left side. She also is struggling with short term memories but we are hopeful she will recover to her full self with continuous outpatient rehab after discharge. We will also need help in transferring her to and back from hospitals.
Her ideal day would be: brushing teeth, cleaning face, having breakfast, taking a walk in the backyard or nearby park, chatting with someone, having lunch, playing some games, listening to music, watching TV shows, taking shower, brushing teeth, going to bed.
About the care needs: A female mandarin speaking person would be the best. It is ideal if they are passionate about cooking, loves playing mahjong, outgoing and easy to chat with. And because my mom is confused about time and space and is not remembering a lot of things that happened recently, a caregiver with patience who can keep reminding her would be great.
