About who needs care: Underlying conditions: congestive heart failure, legally blind, myasthenia gravis, NO SALT diet, limited fluid intake(640z/day);
She is hospitalized every 6-8 weeks for problems due to a heart that functions at 25%.
Strengths: totally with it cognitively, has an incredible memory for details, totally in control of her schedule, really smart, very strong will to live, loves to be outside, goes for walks, listens to audio books, the news.
Needs help with sorting medications (many); bathing and personal care, everything household including meals, cleaning, reading, computer work, mobility (she uses a rollator),
Needs someone with a car to get her to medical appointments and shopping.
She usually wakes up between 9 and 10 am; needs help weighing, bathing, then breakfast, medications, attending to needs, doctors, goes for walks.
About the care needs: Caregiver needs to minimum be a certified home health aide.

The ideal person will be willing to do most anything (bathing, toileting, dealing with soiled linens, laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc. It is important that the person attends to details including putting things away the way they are found. The person should be a decent cook who is willing to use.
She prefers a person who has a car and is willing to transport when necessary.
She prefers someone who is willing to take initiative and not be on their cellphone. Someone who will engage in talking to her about the world, the news, their life, her life, etc.
