Likewise, I value healthy living and enjoy exercising, eating well, and maintaining my overall good health. Education is very important to me and I believe that reading to young children is a crucial ingredient to future success in both academic and personal pursuits. Education: Master of Occupational Therapy (currently attending) BA in Psychology/Human Development and Family Studies (May 2011) Experience: I have a wide range of experience and education in human development and care for children and seniors. I've worked as a Physical Therapist Technician since 2011 assisting small children, teenagers, adults, and seniors with various rehabilitation therapies on land and in the pool. I was previously employed by a group home agency caring for individuals with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and Autism. Throughout college, I was a YWCA summer camp/after-school program counselor supervising daily educational (tutoring/homework help) and recreational activities for small classes of children ranging 3 to 10 years. I was employed by my church nursery as the Pre-K Sunday school teacher; duties required developing an age-appropriate Bible curriculum, confirming each child's lesson comprehension, monitoring behavior/play/activity, communicating with parents and church members, coordinating participation in programs, maintaining information and health records, and guardian sign-in/out.
