I have over 27 years' experience as a social worker in the field of child protective services. I worked as a social worker for 12 years in Mass. and over the last 15 years for the State of Connecticut's Department of Children & Families child protective services agency. The care, safety and well-being of children is and always has been my passion. Now that I no longer work as a social worker, I have asked myself over and over again, what it is that I really love and that is little people. I believe they deserve the best that life has to offer because they did not ask to come here. I have also been an Administrative Assistant and I also hold a license in Real Estate and function as a Justice of the Peace. Most importantly, I am a widow and the mother of adults twins, who I raised alone along with being the grandmother to a toddler. I have maintained a household doing all tasks for many years; therefore, cleaning, childcare, laundry, etc. has been part of my daily life for many years and I believe if I am going to do something, I need to do it to the best of my ability. Now that I am retired from social work, I am looking for a new position dealing with a family in any other field. I believe that working for you would bring a refreshing and rewarding experience that I so desire. I do not drink, use drugs, smoke and I am a U. S. citizen. I am 53, and told I have a good sense of humor. I am honest and trustworthy and have never been arrested and cleared by the FBI. I also have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. I am willing to submit to criminal background checks and drug testing randomly if you would like. I can do some light housekeeping and follow recipes (I don't think you want me to cook without them) and I am great when it comes to organization and leadership. As a live-in, I am looking to earn approximately $900 per week but that is negotiable and I would like to work Monday-Friday, if possible.
