Hello, my name is Laurie. I'm the mom of two adult children and the grandma of two beautiful grand kids. I've worked in the private sector for over 25 years. I worked in convalescent care as a Senior Nurse's Aide several years ago. I worked as a Medical Assistant and went back to school to refresh skills and earn a certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant. I've worked most recently as a Medical Patient Services Rep as well a Customer Service Representative. I love kids and would really like to find a family that needs kind of a grandma figure around. I know how valuable this can be, as I had a grandma figure while my own kids were little and I worked full time. I can do errands and provide transportation to and from school, appointments or activities. I can provide "Weekly Outings" if that is something requested. I have a heart for the elderly as well, and enjoy their company as much as other age groups. I have volunteered through a local college theater, our performing arts center, and church storehouse to feed the poor. I have also been fingerprinted and background cleared to volunteer for a state wide program for kids in Foster Care. I am currently in the process of volunteering for Hospice one afternoon a week. I had a background check run for my posting on this site as well. I am ready to work in a position that is helpful to others and rewarding to me.
