I initially met Deidre on a parent advisory board and we became close friends. Her warm, outgoing, and social nature helped our board to connect very quickly. She is an extremely kind and nurturing individual who is very much committed to enhancing the lives of her children, church, neighborhood, and Greater New Bedford community. She is constantly volunteering at different school and community events and has a lifetime of dedication to service. On Thanksgiving, she and her family deliver meals to those who cannot get out, and is frequently handing out mittens and hats to homeless on frigid days. However her service is full year, and she is always willing to help out neighbors in need. She is truly a remarkable person who inspires all those around her to be better people.
