I am a sophomore in college, New York. I am home from school for the summer. I have done extensive babysitting for many different age groups. I can cook, prepare meals, and tidy up the house. I am available on short notice. I have volunteered with the Special Olympics through a high school and also at the official Special Olympic Games. I also volunteered with a sports program run at a high school during my sophomore and junior years of high school. I volunteered one summer as a camp counselor in Milford, where I was responsible for a group of young boys. In addition, I also have volunteered for 6 years at a Vacation Bible School in Milford. The last 3 years, I worked with the same group of children. It was a wonderful experience to witness and play a small part in their growth and development. I also have taken Child Development and Psychology classes, been trained as a Peer Mediator, served as a Natural Helper and a Student Ambassador. I was a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and am continuing my study of Spanish in college. I love children, sports, baking, and arts and crafts. This past summer I was a counselor at a special needs sleep away camp for adults. I was a counselor for people ages 8-40.
