Their staff hates them as much and the families. Every single nurse we got hated the company and would speak badly of the staffing/scheduling in particular. 2 of my nurses told me all the gossip they talked about us. None of which was true, which is why our nurses were mad and told us what they said. This company is unprofessional and a joke. On two occasions Penny ontai left me voicemails where she was talking about her employees. One time their scheduler Darbi called ME thinking I was a nurse and started talking crap about ME. The were given so many hours by the insurance and never once filled all the hours. Maybe half of the hours were filled every week. I had to fire one of their nurses because she is a maniac and doesn't do her job, she doesn't belong working with children at all and she still works for this company. They do not care about the families or even their own employees. Disgusting company

I think you may have the wrong company? We do not have anyone on our staff with the names you mentioned. Most of our caregivers are very happy with our company and have been with us for quite some time (over 5 years) We try hard to treat our caregivers and client with respect and as our "Ohana". I called Care Options when I had an emergency situation here on Maui and needed immediate care for my dying husband. The owner of the business came IN PERSON on the same day and her team assessed him. Sadly, I only needed 4 hours of help from them. They refunded my money, although that took a couple of weeks and was a little slower than I hoped. I am the Christyv that gave them a negative review and I this is the only way I can give them the review they deserve. I can't recommend them highly enough for their same day and professional service. I am the same writer of the negative review posted under Christyv. I hope by posting this one, I can give them proper credit for showing up so quickly to help me.

Thank you Christy for your correction of your last review. I know you felt bad about the refund too. It is cumbersome sometimes as we have to wait for the bank to clear the check you sent us and as soon as it clears we send out the refund check. I have since been trying to explain better to my clients the waiting period for refund check and strive to continue improving our care and company. Take Care Christy.

My husband had approximately 4 hours of a care options employee in our home. During those four hours, she vacuumed. I paid the company $1200. for care that he might need above and beyond Hospice, not anticipating that he would die so quickly. It has now been over two weeks and no refund has been forthcoming despite repeated calls to the agency. I am in serious financial straits and need to pay the mortuary $5,000. on Monday. My last call to the agency resulted in a woman named, Jill, being incredibly rude to me. Later she called back and said they were all sorry for my loss and someone would contact me soon. That was 3 days ago. If you are looking for an agency to provide care in your home, BYPASS THIS ONE. There are several others available. Contact Hospice, Hale Makua for suggestions but avoid this one. I have given them one star in my rating because, without at least one star, I can't submit this comment. I'm sure that my comment will be suppressed by the company, but I will find as many review sites as I can to give them the low rating warranted by their rude and poor service.
