care giver burden

i am interested to know if anyone else is a spouse caregiver? there seem to be so many financial barriers to getting reasonable assistance to even get a 3 day respite every 2 or 3 months. if my attitude sounds bad and you know of how to attain help at reasonable costs just for a weekend.
