The murder of George Floyd and the global protests against racial injustice that followed led to a forced reckoning for many Americans, who began to really take a look at the ways racism and prejudice permeates our society. From calls to defund the police<\/a> to honest conversations about the lack of racial diversity<\/a> in most professions, more and more people are demanding change. Many are turning their sights on the U.S. school system and calling out white parents who’ve used the concept of “school choice” to uphold educational inequality.<\/p>

As thousands marched across the country, Twitter users issued takedowns of white parents who will gladly talk to their kids about racism<\/a> and show up to march in solidarity but who are still promoting segregation and racism via the school districts in their own hometowns.<\/p>

Looking forward to all the wealthy white parents who were at protests this weekend who will be enrolling their children in public schools tomorrow<\/p>
