{"id":3260,"date":"2021-05-19T21:51:48","date_gmt":"2021-05-19T21:51:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/s37407.p1377.sites.pressdns.com\/resources\/recall-alert-almost-1-million-pounds-of-poul\/"},"modified":"2021-05-19T21:51:48","modified_gmt":"2021-05-19T21:51:48","slug":"recall-alert-almost-1-million-pounds-of-poul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/recall-alert-almost-1-million-pounds-of-poul\/","title":{"rendered":"RECALL ALERT: Almost 1 Million Pounds of Poultry Sold at Major Grocery Stores May Contain Metal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nearly 1 million pounds of chicken sold at grocery stores&nbsp;across the country, like <a href=\"https:\/\/corporate.walmart.com\/recalls\">Wal-Mart<\/a>, are being recalled after consumers complained of metal fragments in their poultry.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsis.usda.gov\/wps\/portal\/fsis\/topics\/recalls-and-public-health-alerts\/recall-case-archive\/archive\/2017\/recall-030-2017-release\">United States Department of Agriculture issued the advisory<\/a> after OK Foods&nbsp;of Oklahoma City&nbsp;found that 933,272 pounds of its ready-to-eat breaded chicken products could&nbsp;be tainted with metal from factory conveyor belts.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">The recall was issued within 48 hours of the first consumer complaint March 21 and impacts the company&rsquo;s poultry products, such as chicken fingers, nuggets, patties, and other items, produced between Dec. 16, 2016, and March 7, 2017.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">All affected chicken items have the following number listed inside the USDA mark of inspection on the outside packaging: P-7092.
